kleptomania/isn’t it curious by Matilda Vaugier
I want to steal people's hearts. Out of their bodies. Is that wrong?
But seriously folks, some days, the feeling is uncontrollable. It's this whole thing with adoration as once explained to me by Dr. Torry. We want to be adored. We want to be the object of affection. And it's sort of sick.
Isn't it curious how our self-esteem is generally based solely on the complements of others? Well perhaps not. Maybe it's more an observation. Anyone who says it doesn't impact it is in serious denial. I'm not saying this in the cynical pishah sort of way, I mean in a true philosophical sense. We are born with the incentive to be adored. Honestly, who wants to be the loathsome sniveling creature who wallows in love? Or would we rather be the glamorous radiant adored? It starts with our mother, we learn our instincts or nature from adoration. Growing attached to our mother we realize she encompasses everything we need and want and so we change to become what she needs, what she wants. So our self-esteem is very based from this principle. And yet if we were truly born self-sufficient we wouldn't care. Isn't curious how crippled we really are without each other?
